MT-COMPETE is a program for experienced athletes who want to perform in the sport of fitness at either a local or regional level. Entry into the MT-Compete program requires experience in this form of training. More importantly, athletes need to have a clear understanding of why they want to achieve particular goals, and be honest about their physical and mental capacity.
The foundation for this program is the MT-PULSE+ class. That means, athletes will be participating in the normal group classes on 4 to 5 days a week. We believe that training in a group is essential to your success.
Extra work (above the MT-PULSE+ program) will be programmed on 5 days of the week. This will be generic work that participants will need to
Each athlete will also be expected to select weakness-based work to perform.
Athletes will be required to complete these extra components in their own time. Your coaches will be available to guide you on how best to structure your training weeks.
You get fitter by recovering from the training you do. The more you train, the more you need to do to recover. Think of your body as a bank account. What we do in training are withdrawals. What we do outside of training—sleep, nutrition, mobility and flexibility, mindfulness, active recovery, restoration—are deposits. The more you withdraw (from training) the more you need to put back.
